This course combines agricultural topics and science with the application of communication studies. Students continue the study of visual, verbal, and written techniques to communicate agricultural information to consumers, businesses, and government agencies.

In this course you will learn what you need to jumpstart a career in agriscience. You will dive into agricultural history and its global impact, learn about scientific and research concepts that drive the field, as well as the effects of agriculture on the environment. In this honors-level course—the third and final in the hospitality and tourism program of study—you’ll learn about the marketing principles, social media strategies, and operational procedures that marketing professionals must know. This course is the first in a series to dive into the numerous career avenues and business opportunities of the hospitality and tourism industry.

Teaching is about inspiring and empowering students to realize their potential. If this sounds like something you’d like to do, this course is for you. We’ve designed this course to explore what it takes to be a teacher, not just in the classroom, but in many fields—education, healthcare or even corporate. You’ll learn about the history, purposes, issues, ethics, laws and regulations, roles and qualifications of teaching.

Students learn touch-typing skills with proper finger placement, building both accuracy and speed. Students should be able to type all letters and numbers with 80% or better accuracy at 24 wpm by the end of Keyboarding A. Students should achieve 35 wpm at 90% or better accuracy by the end of Keyboarding B, and this includes typing with punctuation marks and capital letters.

This course teaches advanced programming concepts using the computer language Python. You will learn techniques and processes associated with computer programming and software development. This course continues the study of computer programming concepts with a focus on the creation of software applications employing procedural programming techniques.

This comprehensive course will help students prepare for and raise their scores on the Digital SAT, building their math, reading, and writing skills and performance. Students begin with a full-length practice test to identify personalized areas to target. From there, they can engage with reading, writing, and math tutorials, each accompanied by a quiz to test mastery.

This course is instructed by the school counselor and is meant to help seniors prepare for graduation and post high school endeavors. Students explore college options, learn how to apply to college, set future goals, and explore careers and financial literacy. Students will also learn about registering to vote, gap year options, and managing stress, anxiety, and depression.

In this course, students earn elective credit by completing at least 25 hours of approved volunteer service. Students will submit a proposal before beginning their service, complete a log of their hours, and write a final reflection about what they learned. Through service, students will develop responsibility, empathy, time management, and a deeper understanding of civic engagement. Students can take this course once per calendar year.
