CMASAS Clubs

Explore Our Various Clubs

We have a variety of clubs for students to join. You must be enrolled in our gold or platinum tuition plan to participate in clubs. Clubs meet in Microsoft Teams. This is a great opportunity for students to explore interests and passions and get to know their peers. Below is a chart of the clubs we offer, along with a description of the club. If you think a club should be added to the list, talk to your PEC.

Courses

Adobe Photoshop Club

Welcome to photoshop club! This club is for students who are interested in learning to use Adobe Photoshop. This club will provide students a comprehensive understanding of the basics of Adobe Photoshop. We will learn: basic features and tools, basic image editing and manipulation techniques and how to create original graphics. Student will have the opportunity to develop creative projects throughout the year.

All Things Disney Club

If you are a Disney fan, this club is for you! This club will give students the opportunity to connect with others who have a passion for everything Disney, and will be a great way to make new friends. We will discuss our favorite movies, favorite characters, hidden secrets in the park/movies and more! There will even be some Disney trivia games!

Animal Exploration Club 6-12

Did you know that sea otters hold hands when they sleep to keep from drifting apart and that crocodiles have roamed the earth for approximately 200 million years! If you love animals and would like to learn more about them then this club is for you! Come learn all about pets and animals in Animal Exploration Club. Some of the topics we will cover are endangered species, unusual pets/animals, bring an animal/pet to share, new species of animals, jobs associated with animals.

Anime/Manga Club

Whether you like just anime, just manga, or both, this is a super club for you. If you don’t know about either one, come join us and explore the worlds of anime and manga! The plan this year is to discuss both anime and manga each week, so everyone's favorite is covered. This clubs is designed to spark discussions and game/activities will also be planned each week. Anyone with a love of anime or who is looking to get into anime is welome!

Anti Social Club

Purpose of club is to meet friends, hang out and get to know each other. There will be certain topics and or questions to discuss each week.

Art Club

Welcome to Art Club! Any high school student is welcomed to join. We will be meeting twice a month to learn about art and to highlight student artwork. During the first meeting of the month, a student led presentation of a famous person or favorite artist will be shown with a discussion to follow about content/context, techniques, and overall impact on the community.

Book Club

At each meeting, we discuss the book we read for the previous month & pre-read the upcoming month’s book. We also discuss what we are currently reading for fun & random book/author topics. In between meetings, we will use the Teams chat and/or Goodreads to discuss what we are reading & recommend books to each other.

Chess Club

Welcome to Chess Club! If you are interested in playing chess with fellow CMASAS students or improving your game, this is the club for you! Each club meeting members will play against each other in various time formats. Occasional tournaments for members to participate in will also be set up. Our club will also involve some chess trivia games and videos on the history of chess (looking at some of the best grand masters) and helpful chess analysis videos!

Chess Club 1-5

Welcome to the elementary Chess Club! Chess improves concentration and memory, attention span and spatial reasoning perhaps that's because, in chess as in school, concentration and memory go hand in hand. Come learn the rules and play with your peers. It will be fun!

Cooking & Crafting

Is cooking & crafting your jam? Or do you want to learn more about these topics? Well come learn with us! Activities will include things such as: recipe swaps, talking about how food fuels our body, learning about foods from other parts of the world and cultural practices, making crafts such as slime, origami, knitting and sewing projects and learning the science behind these crafts such as why borax acts as a chemical bond in slime.

Cooking Club

Welcome to Cooking Club! This will be a fun environment where you can express creativity through cooking. We will be doing some fun activities like recipe swaps, recipe creations, explore how food fuels our bodies, explore food from different cultures, and look into different meal planning strategies. We will also be cooking together (virtually of course)!

Cultural Exploration Club

The Cultural Exploration Club's aim is to provide increased diversity exposure. To encourage students to look beyond their “bubble” and escape into the world with a Global Awareness, as well as appreciation and understanding of the culture and values of different people of our world. We will participate in different activities, celebrations and observe contributions to the world as to build respect and tolerance for others.

Equestrian Club

The Equestrian club is run by a group of dedicated equestrians. These students range from actively participating in the horse competition world to simply enjoying pleasure riding and the joys of being around horses. The club's topics range from types of riding & competitions, horse care, the different types of horse equiptment, & the names of horse anatomy. The club employs a varied mixture of activities.

Fitness Club

Do you want to start your week off with more energy? Joins us for Fitness Club every Tuesday! We will do all things fitness and movement together. We will learn and participate in traditional fitness activities together like running, stretching, yoga, jump rope and more! We will add in some fun things like juggling and scavenger hunts to get us moving. Come join us and share your favorite type of fitness!

Gender-Sexuality Alliance

This is a student lead club, so while I am at meetings to make sure all is well, this is 100% a student space. We discuss LGBTQ+ topics and provide a safe place for our members to just be themselves. We welcome all students, those who are members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as their allies. You are always encouraged to recommend club topics or items to discuss.

HS French Club

French club focuses on building conversational skills in French amongst all levels of French speakers. The club also discusses & learns about cultural topics in French-speaking countries. The goal of the club is to get some practice time in listening & & speaking French, as well as broadening the understanding of French & Francophone culture.

Music Club is for K-5 students who love music! Maybe you play an instrument or maybe you just love listening and dancing! If you want to learn more about music or share with others what you know about music, then join Music Club! Different topics will be covered such as world music, music theory, and history of music. Students will also get to share what they've been working on.

Photography Club

Welcome to the Photography Club. Any middle or high school student is welcome to join. We’ll learn about photography techniques, share our photos, and then create a final gallery of our work. Each month we'll have a featured photography challenge. In the past these challenges have included "Abstract Ideas", "Something Spooky" and "My Happy Place." During each meeting we'll share our challenge photos and support each other's unique artistic growth.

Pop Culture Club

The Pop Culture's Club aim is to provide increased diversity awareness to the influence of pop culture to our youth and society as a whole. Social and Circle Club

Do you love chatting and getting to know your peers at CMASAS? Then social and circle club is for you! We will play games, read fun stories and get to know each other and do projects together. While we all work on our education online, building relationships with peers is also important and building a circle of friends is what this club is all about. Social and Circle Club will provide a casual, fun and safe environment to boost your week!

Love the Star Wars universe? Want to find others that love it just as much as you do? This is the club for you. STEM Club Elementary

Welcome to the STEM Club. Any elementary student in CMA is welcome to join the club. STEM  (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Club is an interactive discussion group initiated by student interest. Vibrant discussion time twice per month. Our extremely engaged students have explored and discussed Bubbles, Space X Mars Colonization, String Theory, Endangered Species, Newton’s Law of Gravity, Sound Waves, and Optical Illusions to name a few.

STEM Club MS/HS

Welcome to STEM Club MS/HS, where young people curious about science, technology, engineering and math explore ideas in an informal setting and learn from interests and the experiences of one another! Each meeting, a student volunteer will pick a topic to present to the group then ask 5-6 thought provoking questions related to the topic. This usually generates a roundtable discussion where members add their points of view. Sometimes these discussions turn into highly energizing mini debates!

Storymakers Club

A piece of music can share a story, superheroes can come alive through a comic strip and writing can be loads of fun! Come journey with us as we explore & review books, write and share. In this club we will do it all. We will play fun grammar games, we will work on the mechanics of writing, create stories together, and even invite others to hear our group and individual stories. All K-5 CMASAS studnets are welcome!

Student Council

Welcome to CMASAS's student council. Here at the council students meet twice a month to discuss social issues important to us and help each other find ways to get directly involved with them. We also work together to make our voices heard in the school and impact it positively.

Video Production Club

Welcome to the Video Production Club! Any middle or high school student (grade 6-12) is welcome to join us as we share our personal productions and learn about important considerations during pre-production, production, and post-production. We will be sharing video production tips and/or videos throughout the month on our Teams channel. In addition, there will be opportunities to collaborate with other club members as well throughout the year.

Yearbook Club

Welcome to the Yearbook Club! We will be working towards the completion of the CMASAS yearbook. We will being using photography, computer design and creative writing to create a yearbook that captures the memories of our school year. Yearbook club is a great way to make new friends and express yourself creatively. We will work together to come up with a theme for the yearbook, so please come with a few theme ideas to present.

Yoga & Meditation Club
