“The Camino trip was my first time traveling abroad. I went on my own—but never felt alone. As someone with vision and hearing challenges, the journey wasn’t without obstacles. But I learned that by taking things step by step, and surrounding myself with the kind and supportive CMASAS pilgrims, I could overcome anything.
Along the way, I gained a new sense of confidence. I realized that accumulating possessions doesn’t bring fulfillment—it often just weighs me down. True satisfaction comes from taking time to admire the beauty in the world and connecting with others, especially those different from myself.
And of course, with a little chocolate (thank you, Christopher!) and the promise of gelato (thank you, Wheeler family!), any journey becomes achievable.”
