"The biggest benefit for me has been the flexibility and opportunity. I travel often, so there are times when I will go months without getting much work done, and then I’m able to get a lot done later. CMASAS makes sure I earn more than enough credits for colleges, while also encouraging me to explore all of my personal interests to the fullest.

I am currently a senior and play on a tennis team called Tennessee Heat. I play a lot of high school and ranked tennis matches. I plan to return as an assistant coach next year and also coach this summer at a camp.

Since I travel a lot, I’ve been lucky to make friends in many different states. Because CMASAS is a worldwide school, I’ve also been able to build lasting friendships with people in other countries. With the flexibility of my school schedule, I’ve been able to travel and see these friends because I can bring my computer anywhere and do my schoolwork from wherever I am.

Any child has the opportunity to grow with this school. I have been at CMASAS for five years now, and I’ve interacted with all types of students, which has helped me develop better people skills and learn many valuable life lessons. Over the years I have made friends with all kinds of students: athletes, pilots, people who graduate at 14, people who graduate at 20, and neurodivergent students. In the end, everyone isn’t just set up to graduate, but to actually graduate with life goals and prepared to expand into their interests as a young adult.

A lot of schools think kids don’t know what they want yet, which can be true for some, but not for everyone. CMASAS has a personalized PEC to make sure students stay on track with school while also pursuing their individual interests, so they can explore who they are and learn more about themselves while receiving a strong education."
