Biography

Keith has spent most of his adult life as an educator, with a brief detour into what he calls the “real world” of sales, customer service, and radio news broadcasting. He has taught high school English and college composition, and he previously served as an assistant professor of composition at Kaplan University—one of the first fully online universities in the early 2000s, now known as Purdue Global. In addition to his work in education, Keith is the creator of Fur, Feathers, and Final Exams, a fictional picture book set at “America’s first animal high school.” The book features realistic AI‑generated images and a fully animal‑run school where animals teach and attend standard high school classes—no humans allowed. Outside the classroom and the page, Keith enjoys recording music on his arranger workstation keyboard and exploring video editing as a creative outlet.
