Chris Wyatt’s spring assembly appearance gave our community a fascinating look into the life of a dedicated aviator. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1989, he went on to serve 24 years in the Air Force, including two decades in Special Operations. Over the course of his career, he piloted eight different aircraft and spent his final year as an Air Advisor, flying for the Afghan Air Force. Following his military service, he has spent the past 12 years in Flight Operations and Flight Test with the Sierra Nevada Corporation. In sharing both the exhilarating aspects of flight and his personal reflections on education and service, Chris inspired students with the possibilities that come from dedication, resilience, and passion for one’s craft.
