Biography

Trish Turner has worked at Christa McAuliffe Academy School of Arts and Sciences (CMASAS) as a middle school/high school Personalized Education Coach (PEC) since September of 2015 and, more recently, as a curriculum designer. Trish graduated from Carleton College with a bachelor’s degree in Geology. She went on to earn elementary education and cross categorical special education teaching certificates, and later an Ed.S. in School Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. She has worked as a K-8 special education teacher, a private reading tutor, and a school psychologist. At CMASAS, Trish loves working with an incredibly diverse group of students, all with unique interests, talents, and stories! Trish lives with her husband and three kids (plus an extremely cute dog) in Portland, Oregon, where they enjoy easy access to the ocean, mountains, and lots of very good donuts! Trish enjoys spending time with her family, camping, reading, baking, and crafting. Trish was voted as our 2020 CMASAS Teacher of the year.
