How long does enrollment take?

The typical period from tuition payment and completion of the registration form to active student access is approximately one week. A family completing registration on Friday will generally have access the following week.

What does the transition actually look like?

What if plans change after enrollment?

CMASAS OFFERS A TRIAL PERIOD FOR FAMILIES WHOSE PLANS CHANGE UNEXPECTEDLY.

A family withdrawing before the student enters a third course and within 20 school days of the start date receives:

  •  Cancellation of any remaining tuition obligation
  •  A refund of tuition paid, less one monthly payment
  •  The registration fee remains non-refundable

Withdrawal requires the Withdrawal Request Form. Outside the 20-school-day window, eligibility depends on enrollment length. Link to the complete Enrollment and Tuition Policies for full terms.

Common PCS Scenerios

  • Guard or Reserve mobilization

    The same flexibility applies. Families can enroll for the duration of a mobilization (30 days to 18 months or longer) or continue indefinitely. 

  • Spouse deployed, family undecided about following

    CMASAS works whether the family stays in place or follows the service member. No permanent address commitment is required. The PEC provides a stable adult relationship during the deployment.

  • Moving to a base with a strong DoDEA school

    CMASAS students can withdraw at any time. Official transcripts are released through Parchment.  With continuous enrollment, students may carry forward and continue working in any in-progress courses during the next school year. Many military families use CMASAS for the transition window and re-evaluate at each new duty station.

  • Orders canceled after enrollment

    The 30-day trial period applies. The family withdraws, receives a tuition refund less one monthly payment, and forfeits only the registration fee.

  • OCONUS move

    CMASAS coursework continues uninterrupted from any country with internet access. No live classes means no time zone conflicts. PEC meetings flex around the family's local time zone. 

  • Mid-semester transfer for a high schooler with 45-day notice

    CMASAS evaluates the student's in-progress coursework and either picks up where the prior school left off (with documentation) or restarts the course. Because CMASAS is mastery-based, a student who has already completed half of Algebra II is not required to repeat that material. The PEC and Director of Counseling review the transcript to credit completed work.
